A Quick Look at Your Hormonal Health Care Options

Hormones influence nearly every aspect of how you feel: your energy, mood, metabolism, sleep, and sense of balance in your own body.

When they’re working in harmony, you may not think about them at all.

But when they’re not, the impact can be profound, affecting your daily life in ways that are often dismissed or overlooked.

At Chinn GYN, we know that your symptoms are real, your experiences are valid, and that you deserve care that goes beyond quick fixes or “one-size-fits-all” solutions.

When Something Feels Off, Hormones Are Often Part of the Story

Hormonal health care helps you get answers when your body isn’t feeling like itself.

Whether you’re dealing with irregular cycles, mood shifts, fatigue, weight changes, perimenopause or menopause symptoms, or just a general sense that something is “off,” this care is designed to look at the full picture.

Our woman-centered healthcare team is here for anyone who wants real answers, thoughtful support, and a treatment plan that works with their body, not against it.

Just A Few Of The Things We Treat

It's Getting Hot In Here: Menopause Care

Menopause is not an isolated event. It is a process that, even when it occurs naturally, can often cause symptoms that impact your daily life and impair or disrupt your previous functioning.

If you are entering menopausal transition or have gone through menopause and are struggling with the process, from bothersome bleeding patterns to temperature instability to urinary and vaginal changes, we can discuss ways to restore function and a sense of normalcy.

The process of menopause may be normal and natural, but the results of The Change are often so distressing that they compromise our quality of life.

Our women’s health-focused providers are expertly trained in managing the adverse effects of the menopausal transition with an extensive assortment of treatment options.

More Than Just a Period: Menstrual Care

Your menstrual cycle is not just a monthly inconvenience; it’s a vital indicator of your overall hormonal health.
When something feels off, whether it’s painful periods, irregular cycles, heavy bleeding, or disruptive symptoms throughout the month, it can take a tremendous toll on your daily life and sense of well-being. These concerns are common, but you do not have to simply accept them.
We take a comprehensive approach to understanding your cycle and examining hormonal patterns, underlying conditions, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to your symptoms.

With a range of personalized hormone health treatment options, our goal is to help regulate your cycle, reduce discomfort, and restore a sense of balance to help you feel more like yourself all month long.

Understanding the Full Picture: PCOS Care

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormonal health condition that can affect everything from your cycle and metabolism to your skin, mood, and overall sense of balance in your body.

It often shows up as irregular or absent periods, difficulty with weight management, acne, excess hair growth, or challenges with fertility. However, we know that no two experiences look exactly the same.

Too often, care for PCOS is limited to symptom management alone, without fully addressing the underlying hormonal and metabolic patterns driving those symptoms.

Our providers take a comprehensive, individualized approach to PCOS management, looking beyond a single diagnosis to understand how your hormones, metabolic response, and lifestyle factors interact. Our goal is not just to manage PCOS, but to help you feel more in control of your body by restoring balance, improving function, and creating a path forward that feels both sustainable and empowering.

This Isn’t Mood Swings: PMDD Care

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is not simply a more intense version of PMS. It is a cyclical, hormone-related condition that can significantly impact mood, energy, relationships, and daily functioning in the days or weeks leading up to your period.

If you find yourself experiencing severe irritability, anxiety, depression, or physical symptoms that disrupt your ability to feel like yourself, you are not expected to just “push through it.” We take PMDD seriously and understand how deeply it can affect your quality of life.

With a thoughtful, individualized approach, we can explore a range of treatment options, from hormonal health support to targeted medications and lifestyle strategies, to help stabilize symptoms and restore a sense of balance. Your experience is valid, and with the right support, it can become manageable.

Hormonal Health Care That Starts With You

Our approach to hormonal health is rooted in listening first, then partnering with you to understand the full picture. To provide you with the best possible care, we need to be intimately aware of your symptoms, your goals, and your life.

Whether you’re navigating menstrual concerns, PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause, or menopause, our board-certified women’s health clinicians offer thoughtful, individualized care designed to restore balance, improve function, and help you feel like yourself again.

Hormonal health isn’t just about labs. It’s about how those labs are impacting your quality of life.

Here’s How it All Goes

From your very first visit, the focus is to understand your experience. You’ll have space to talk through your symptoms - whether it’s changes in mood, energy, cycles, sleep, or symptoms that just don’t feel like you - so we can start connecting the dots.

From there, your care plan is built around what your body needs right now. That may include testing, lifestyle support, treatment recommendations, or ongoing follow-up, all designed to help you feel more balanced, informed, and supported moving forward.

FAQs About Hormonal Health

What are the major signs of hormonal imbalance?

Common signs include cycle changes, persistent tiredness, mood swings, brain fog, trouble sleeping, or symptoms that seem to come and go with your cycle. A proper evaluation can help determine whether hormones are playing a role.

What hormone treatment options are offered at Chinn GYN?

Our providers offer a wide variety of therapies and we are well-versed in fine-tuning these therapies to each woman's individual body and needs. We regularly utilize hormonal treatment such as birth control, hormone replacement therapies across many modalities, and lifestyle changes.

Because each woman is different, we do not have a one-size-fits-all approach to hormone management and no two patient's plans of care will (or should) look alike.

Do I need hormone testing?

Testing can be a helpful way to understand what’s going on. Your provider will decide what’s most useful based on your symptoms, age, and health history.

How long does it take to feel better?

That depends on what’s going on and the treatment plan. Some people notice changes quickly, while others improve gradually over several weeks or months, often with regular check-ins and adjustments to the treatment plan with their provider. Fine-turning is a huge part of optimizing hormonal health.

It’s Time to Listen to Your Body
