The Perks of Pressing Reset on Your Skin

Makeup is rough on your skin, but it can feel essential (it isn't, but we get it) if your skin tone is uneven. Fortunately, we can fix that!
Skip the coverage (you won't need it) by eliminating dark spots, melasma, veins, and redness.
IPL Photofacials are great for any pigment concern you might have, including rosacea, and can completely even out your complexion, freeing you from feeling the need to cover up.
IPL Photofacials can be done anywhere on the body, not just the face. Meaning if those pesky spots that are bothering you are elsewhere, we can remove those, too.

Whether you're noticing spots or veins on your hands, chest, or legs, we can take care of it.
Brightens and evens skin tone for a more balanced complexion.
Treats spider veins effectively and without needles.
Targets redness and broken capillaries to help calm flushed skin.

If Spots, Redness, or Texture Sound Familiar…

IPL Photofacials are perfect for skin that’s dealing with sun spots, redness, uneven tone, visible capillaries, or those little signs of sun damage that seem to show up out of nowhere.

If your complexion feels a bit blotchy, tired, or less even than it used to be, an intense pulsed light therapy treatment helps calm things down and bring everything back into balance.

From First Touch to Glow Up

We Assess Your Skin Needs

We take a close look at concerns like redness, sun spots, uneven tone, and texture so we know exactly what we’re targeting.

Light Pulses Get to Work

Targeted pulses of light work beneath the surface to break up discoloration, calm visible redness, and even skin tone.

Your Skin Starts Looking More Even

Your complexion will look clearer, brighter, and more balanced, with continued improvement over time.

Here’s How Your Visit Goes

Before We Get Started

More often than not, our patients choose to use numbing cream before their appointment. Since we are a medical office, we can prescribe this for you based on your needs, and you can apply it 1 hour before your treatment time.
While you can be treated without it, we always want to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Once you arrive for your treatment, we will clean the cream off and get you prepped!

The Treatment in Action

We advise you to reduce sun exposure entirely during the treatment process, both before and after your treatments.
IPL Photofacials work by breaking up melanin-rich pockets, but it can also aggravate your melanocytes (the cells in your skin that produce melanin). When you expose yourself to sunlight after treatment, you risk worsening hyperpigmentation.

If you must be in the sun, cover up as much as possible and use a good SPF!

What Happens Next

After your treatment, you may have some redness and a bit of swelling. This is normal and will go away within a day or so, but be careful with your skin during this time!
Your skin will need a little extra care for the days following treatment. We will provide you with instructions and products to ensure you have everything you need to take amazing care of your skin at home.

FAQs About Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

Are IPL Photofacials suitable for all skin tones?

No. If you have heavily melanated skin, please contact the office before purchasing or consider Aerolase or Tempsure treatments, which are suitable for all skin tones.

How many treatments will I need?

Most corrective treatments for dark spots (sun spots, age spots, freckles, or veins and vessels) require 3 treatments. Most corrective treatments for more stubborn conditions (rosacea, melasma, birthmarks, stubborn hyperpigmentation) require 6 treatments. You are welcome to purchase each session as you go, or you can purchase a package with reduced per session pricing!

Can I combine IPL Photofacials with other treatments?

IPL Photofacial treatments can be combined with any skin rejuvenation treatment to target texture and pigmentation ( Aerolase, Tempsure, Fractional, or Era Laser Peels).

Do you offer intense pulsed light therapy year-round?

We recommend doing this treatment in the fall and winter months. We do not perform IPL Photofacials during the spring and summer months due to the increased risk of sun exposure between treatments.

Your Best Skin Is Waiting
